House Rules (V1.0)
ENGLISH VERSION
At Merla, we consider the safety of infants to be of utmost importance. That’s why we created this “household policy” that applies to both parents/chaperones and for the infants. We aim to provide a safe, clean and positive place for infants aged 4 and under to learn, play and develop. However, accidents may happen, and parents/chaperones play a critical role in preventing and mitigating these risks.
By entering Merla, compliance with the house rules is mandatory for everyone. If you cannot comply with these rules, please do not enter or remain at Merla.
Only healthy infants can use the playhouse. If your infant is sick or unwell, they must not attend. If your infant has experienced vomiting or diarrhea within the last 48 hours, please do not enter.
An adult is not allowed to attend without an infant (aged 4 or under).
Infants aged 4 and under may enter (any child above the age of 4 cannot enter Merla due to safety reasons), and can only visit the playhouse with an accompanying person who has reached the age of 18 or over. An infant must not be left unattended without direct adult supervision at any time whilst in Merla. Merla is a play house and not a form of child care, nursery or otherwise.
The use of socks is mandatory for everyone for reasons of hygiene and accident prevention. However, socks must be removed when entering the indoor sand area and then put back on once the infant is leaving the sand room. Outdoor footwear must be removed on entry. Whilst you may choose to store these downstairs, you can bring outdoor footwear (and outdoor clothing) upstairs for safe keeping, if desired.
Please expressly inform us before buying the entry ticket if your infant has allergies and/or other similarly-described allergies.
Infants must use the toys for their intended purpose only. The parent(s) or chaperone(s) remain responsible to ensure that their infant(s) are playing with the toys in a reasonable and ordinary way. All equipment and toys must be used appropriately. Although we take the utmost care to supply a safe and secure environment for all infants to play, the ultimate responsibility for those infants remains that of their parents or the chaperones.
You may only use the slides while sitting and directed forwards- standing up, jumping, or climbing backwards is forbidden.
It is forbidden to hang or climb anywhere in the playhouse, apart from the equipment provided which may be used to climb (e.g. a slide).
It is forbidden to bring a pet or animal, drink alcohol and smoke anywhere in Merla.
Entrants must only consume food and drink purchased at Merla apart from food and drink specifically made for babies (e.g. baby food, milk or similar), which may be consumed at Merla (at the parent’s/chaperone’s own risk). All food and/or drink consumption must take place at the tables and chairs provided only.
Strollers are not allowed in the play area and must not be taken upstairs. Please place it in the designated place on the ground floor.
You are responsible for any valuables which you bring into Merla. They should be retained by you at all times. We are not responsible or liable for the theft, damage and/or loss of any of your possessions once you enter Merla.
It is forbidden to disassemble or damage the toys in any way and you may be liable to the replacement fee for the same in the event there is material and/or significant damage caused by you and/or your infant(s).
The following behaviours may result in expulsion from Merla: endangerment, rudeness, violence, quarrel, fight, verbal and/or physical violence, ignoring requests or specific instructions, consuming your own food and drink (unless specifically set out elsewhere in these House Rules). Expulsion is without refund or credit.
You are responsible to keep Merla clean and hygienic insofar as you are the cause (e.g. to not litter, to not drop crumbs of food, spill drinks etc.)
Whilst you may leave Merla and return later the same day, the ticket itself is not transferable to any other person.
If you need to change the diaper of your infant, you must use the specific nursing and changing room.
You understand and accept that CCTV is in full operation to prevent crime.
